95. Henry Mountains, southern drainage. Reported as Trachyte Canyon. I am unsure if it’s Morrison or Chinle. The colors lean toward Morrison for Utah wood, since most Triassic wood there is drab in color—grays and browns. However, this piece is incredibly perfect, something rare for Morrison wood of any size in Utah. This is a large chunk of a very large tree as you can tell from the growth rings. Utah full round thick log section, cut on both ends and polished on one. It’s an amazing piece of rock, with colors that run down the sides. Patterns and hues unimaginably beautiful. A candidate for the most beautiful petrified wood specimen. 15 by 11 cm polished face; 10 cm tall; seven pounds and two ounces. $8000

96. Henry Mountains, Jurassic; Morrison formation. Full round slice. Amazing how perfect. Fantastic under a microscope. 60 by 93 mm polished face; 6 mm thick; two ounces. $200
