In my opinion modern Baccarat closepacks (concentric or not) and carpet grounds (a closepack style) comprise some of the finest representations of these forms ever made. While these modern Baccarats may not be as rare as the 19th Century versions, they are still quite rare and far more normally found in fine original condition than are the antiques. I included gridels in these pages because they are often closepacks as well. 

PW2954. Baccarat Classical Period (1845-1860) Clematis with bud. A fine example of a high end Baccarat flower, complete with bud and a garland of red and white millefiori canes. An elegant gem from circa 1850. Star cut base. Condition is excellent. No problems – an exceptionally well-made piece. It is 2 1/2 inches in diameter with a height of 1 5/8 inches; weight is eleven ounces. $1000

PW1371. Baccarat Classical Period Museum Piece. A simple yet lovely and elegant deep blue dog rose over a crystal ground with a star cut base. Excellent restored condition with no problems. 2 9/16 inch diameter; 1 7/8 inches tall; thirteen ounces. SOLD

PW1747. Baccarat Classical Period Magnum Red/White Dog Rose, circa 1850. Beautifully executed red over white dog rose with stem and leaves. Large and perfect. Repolished all around. Star cut base. 3 inches in diameter; 2 1/8 inches tall; one pound and four ounces. $950
