An elegant weight with perfect stars, crisp canes, a marvelously perfectly centered mandala, and a nice touch in the final row with blue stars and green circles facing cheerily outward, comprising a drawn-in stave basket. 1971 B cane in setup. Flat base etched with logo; engraved 1971 and 220 (it was the 220th weight they made that year). The Baccarat millefiori concentric closepacks from the 1950s into the 1980s are arguably the finest and most beautiful concentric closepacks ever made. The design comprises nine rings in a mesmerizing mandala. One ring includes a date cane of “B 1970”. Drawn-in staves. There is some soot in the base from the making; you cannot feel it as it is within the glass. The bottom is marked with the Baccarat logo in 2 places and is engraved “127” and “1970”. Condition is excellent, essentially pristine – not even shelf wear. 3 inch diameter; 1 15/16 inches tall; one pound and three ounces. $450
