PW2760. Rare Baccarat large 1970 complex fantasy flower on translucent medium blue ground. From Baccarat’s early modern era. It was a time of much action in the paperweight section of the famous glassworks in Nancy, France. This is a one-of-a-kind paperweight. It is from the same collection as the weights in the Baccarat book, but was not figured. The blossom is large and beautiful with complex center. It floats above a translucent medium blue ground. The stems and leaves are nicely done. Etched twice with the Baccarat logo on the base and engraved 102 and 1970.
3 1/16 diameter; 2 1/8 inches tall; one pound and five ounces. Condition is perfect on the dome with nearly invisible shelfwear. $675
PW2771. Rare Baccarat large 1970 Pompon on translucent medium-dark blue ground. These years for Baccarat: 50s into 70s, especially 1967-1972 or so are Baccarat’s early modern era. It was a time of much action in the paperweight section of the famous glassworks in Nancy, France. Paperweight brough new life into the business. These were years of practice and innovation, a crucible of paperweight art. This is a one-of-a-kind paperweight. The design for the pompon is similar to some of the older Baccarat weights, circa 1850-1860. It is from the same collection as the weights in the Baccarat book, but was not figured in the book. This may be because it’s extremely tricky to photograph. The blossom is large and intricate with an equally intricate center. Each petal is white with a translucent green center. There are more than thirty of them. The elaborate blossom floats above a translucent medium dark blue. The stems and leaves are nicely done.Etched twice with the Baccarat logo on the base and engraved 258 and 1970.

PW3149. Rare Baccarat 1970 double orange dahlia. This is a one-of-a-kind paperweight from the apex of Baccarat’s early modern era. Dual bright blossoms float above a dark blue semitransparent ground.
Etched twice with the Baccarat logo on the base and 137 and 1970. Signature cane B1970 at base of stem. Condition is perfect dome with negligible shelfwear. 3 3/16 inch diameter; 2 5/16 inches tall; one pound and eight ounces. $750
PW3233. Baccarat Modern Museum Piece 1972. One-of-a-kind. Dahlia pompon bleu pale . Light blue dahlia pompon on translucent dark blue ground. Baccarat made a very similar weight in a limited edition of 75 in 1980.This one is slightly smaller than the 1980 version and the flower does a better job of filling the dome. Numbered 183 (183rd weight made in 1972, exclusive of numbered editions) along with 1972 for the year and etched twice with the Baccarat logo. Condition is perfect on the dome with slight shelfwear. 2 15/16 inch diameter; 2 1/8 inches tall; one pound and two ounces. $650
PW2207. Baccarat Magnum Modern Museum Piece 1988 Limited Edition of 200. Bouquet de fleurs sur fond jaune. A beautiful bouquet on a peaceful yellow ground. Limited edition of 200 and numbered 33/200 along with 1988 for the year and etched with the Baccarat logo. Condition is perfect as new. 3 1/4 inch diameter; 5 1/16 inches tall; one pound and ten ounces. $750
PW2397. Baccarat. Museum piece. 1975 Limited Edition. Cornflowers on double filigree spiral on crystal. Perfectly precise with two blossoms, three buds, and elegant leaves over a mesmerizing spiral ground. The base is marked with the Baccarat logo, 1975, and 146/260. Date cane “B1975”. The diameter is 3 3/16 inches; height 2 3/16 inches; one pound and six ounces. Condition: pristine as new. $525
PW2587. Baccarat 1977 SNAIL (Escargot). The attractive snail, complete with eyeballs on the ends of long stalks, slithers along a sparkling gemlike mossy ground, framed perfectly by three lovely flowers. Signature cane “B1977” in the ground. This paperweight is pictured in Baccarat Paperweights: Two Centuries of Beauty by Paul Dunlop on page 187. Etched with the Baccarat logo on the base and engraved “93/300” and “1977”. 3 1/8 inch diameter; 2 5/16 inches tall; one pound and six ounces. Condition is perfect dome and slight shelfwear. $500
